Saturday, February 1, 2014: A very engaged crowd turned out to see Part One of "The Abolitionists," followed by a spirited discussion. Professor J.W. Wiley of Plattsburgh State University led the group conversation, which ranged from people's personal experiences, what people learned in school about race in the US, and the role of religious organizations in both supporting and opposing slavery in 19th Century America.
